FAQ

Questions people ask before booking.

Grouped by what you are actually worried about.

Getting started

The service itself

48 hours door to door as standard. Bedding and comforters take 72, because a wet comforter needs a long, slow dry and rushing it is how you end up with a mildew smell three days later. Next-day rush is available as an add-on when you book.

No. Most of our pickups are contactless. Leave the bag wherever you tell us to look — behind the screen door, on the porch, with the front desk — and you get a text with a photo the moment it has been collected.

No sorting — we do that. Any bag works for a first pickup, and we hand you a canvas Breezy bag when we collect. Two things do help: empty the pockets, and put anything that must not go in a dryer in its own bag so we know to air-dry it.

You choose a two-hour window when you book. On the morning of pickup we text you a tighter arrival time. Windows rather than exact times, because we are driving a route — a window we can keep is worth more than a time we cannot.

Check your ZIP on the service area page — it answers instantly. If we are not on your street yet, join the waitlist. Enough signups in one ZIP is literally how we decide where the route goes next.

Money

Pricing and payment

Wash, dry and fold is priced per pound. Bedding and pressing are priced per item, because weight is a poor guide for either. Full figures are on the services and pricing page.

Yes, and it is a floor on the total rather than a fee added on top. If your laundry comes in under the minimum you pay the minimum and nothing more — which means adding a few more items up to that point costs you nothing at all.

After your laundry has been weighed — never at booking. We weigh the load at pickup, text you the real total, and take payment once you have seen it. If the weighed total comes out higher than the estimate you were shown, we tell you before we wash anything and you can say no.

Because it is priced by weight and nobody can weigh laundry by looking at it, including us. Any service quoting you an exact figure sight-unseen is guessing. The booking flow gives you a genuine estimate based on volume, and the estimate is usually close — but we would rather be accurate afterwards than confident beforehand.

Yes. A standing slot lets us plan the route properly, so it genuinely costs us less to run, and that saving goes to you. Weekly saves the most. You can pause or cancel at any time.

Your clothes

Detergents, allergies and care

Yes, at no extra charge. Choose it when you book and it stays attached to your account for every future pickup. Charging extra for the allergy-safe option would be a poor way to run a laundry service.

Absolutely. Put it in the bag with a note. Plenty of customers do this for a specific brand their skin tolerates.

Never. Every load is washed as a single customer's laundry. It is slower and more expensive to run that way, and it is the entire reason we can find a missing item rather than shrug about it.

Bag it separately and book the delicates service. Cold wash, gentle cycle, air-dried, returned on hangers. Anything genuinely hand-wash or dry-clean only, tell us and we will handle it accordingly rather than risking it.

Often, not always. We pre-treat what we find. Some stains — old, set, or previously heat-dried — will not shift, and we would rather say that than promise otherwise. Point them out when you book and we will give them proper attention.

If something goes wrong

Cancellations, losses and damage

Free up to 12 hours before your window. Inside 12 hours we ask for a small callout fee, because by that point the morning's route is already built around your stop. Full terms are in the cancellation policy.

Tell us within 48 hours. Because loads are never combined, a missing item is almost always still in our building, and it is usually back with you the next day.

Send a photo within 48 hours. If we caused it, we replace the item at reasonable current value under our lost and damaged item policy. We do not argue about a $12 t-shirt.

You will have heard from us before the window closed. If you waited in for nothing because of us, that pickup is free.

For businesses

Commercial accounts

Yes — short-term rentals, gyms, salons, studios and small businesses. Volume pricing, invoicing on account rather than card-by-card, and a fixed slot on the route. See commercial accounts.

For commercial accounts on a standing schedule, often yes — but it depends on your location relative to the route and the day of the week. It is worth a conversation rather than a yes or no here.
