Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026

Draft for review. This policy describes what the site actually does today. It must be reviewed against the privacy law that applies where the business trades, and updated whenever the site's data handling changes — particularly when the booking and waitlist forms are connected to a real backend.

1. Who we are

Breezy Convenience is a mobile laundry service. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. To reach us about privacy, use our contact page.

2. What we collect, and why

When you book a collection

  • Your name, phone number and email address — to confirm the booking, tell you when we are on the way, send you the weighed total, and let you know when your laundry is back.
  • Your address and access details — including unit number, gate codes, parking notes and where to find the bag. We need these to collect and return your laundry. Access codes are used for that purpose only.
  • Your laundry preferences — detergent choice, wash temperature, fragrance-free requirements, hang-dry instructions. Kept so you do not have to repeat them.
  • Your service and volume selections — to price and plan the collection.

When you buy a product

  • Your order details, name, email and delivery address — to fulfil the order.
  • Payment information is collected and processed by Stripe, not by us. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store your full card number.

When you check our service area or join the waitlist

  • Your ZIP code — to answer whether we cover you, and in aggregate to decide where the route should expand next.
  • Your email address, if you join the waitlist — used only to tell you when we reach your area.

When you contact us

  • Whatever you put in the message, plus your contact details, so we can reply.

3. Information stored in your browser

This site stores some information locally on your own device, using your browser's storage rather than sending it to us:

  • Your shopping cart, so it survives a page reload.
  • A booking in progress, so refreshing the page or pressing back does not lose your answers. It is cleared when you finish booking or close the tab.
  • Your delivery preference for product orders.

You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

4. Analytics

We use analytics to understand how the site is used — in particular, where people abandon the booking process, so we can fix what is confusing. This records pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and the steps completed in the booking flow.

Your ZIP code is recorded against area checks so we know where demand is. It is not linked to your name unless you go on to make a booking.

If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or global privacy signal, we honour it.

5. Text messages

We text you about your booking only if you opt in, and the opt-in box is never ticked by default. These are service messages — on the way, weighed total, delivered — not marketing. Reply STOP to any of them to stop receiving them; this does not cancel your booking.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that make this business run:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Our scheduling provider — booking times, contact details and the access notes needed to complete a collection.
  • Our email provider — sending confirmations and updates.
  • Analytics — usage data as described above.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

7. How long we keep it

  • Booking and order records — as long as needed to run the service and meet tax and accounting obligations, typically seven years.
  • Saved addresses and preferences — until you ask us to delete them, or two years after your last collection.
  • Waitlist emails — until we reach your area and tell you, or until you ask to be removed.
  • Contact messages — two years.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
  • send you a copy in a portable format;
  • stop using it for a particular purpose.

Contact us and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for this.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment details go directly to Stripe and never touch our systems. Access codes and access notes are treated as sensitive and are visible only to the person carrying out your collection.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affected your information, we would tell you.

10. Children

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

11. Changes

We will update this policy when what we do changes, and update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be announced on the site.
